As part of the POLIS Master Plan, this project was developed to promote and develop this specific fishing area. The main program was to attribute to each fisherman better conditions for his activity, and to standardize the area visually. The fishing tackle houses were divided into five groups, and the zone was organized for future expansion. With an area of almost 2100 m2 and 300 m long on the river shore, this is a privileged spot to the Porto scenery. Each block produces high visibility of the steel structure, looking like the boxes of wood and polycarbonate were placed as drawers. The apparent simplicity of this structure was determined by the material choice and the texture nuance of the boxes, combining two materials: wood and polycarbonate. This skin never shows a pattern, contrary to the formal repetition of the volumes. The flat roof, because of its visibility, was seen as a "fifth" facade. This selection of materials is also one advantage because it uses modular frames capable of being built in a workshop and assembled on site.
