ArchiCAD

Level: Beginner / Intermediate

Duration: 14 hours / 21 hours

Essential

In this course, you will learn the commands, actions and workflow, that involve the constructing a “Virtual Building” model, through to creating drawing layout sheets.

Upon successful completion you will be able to:

  1. Drawing methods, geometry methods and data input.
  2. Editing elements.
  3. Use of 2D drawing tools and editing commands.
  4. Initial design model and planning stage drawings.

Advance

This course is designed to take advantage of the BIM process by helping create documentation and manager projects efficiently.

Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

  1. Building materials and composite structures.
  2. Constructing a 3D virtual building model.
  3. Renovation statuses and filters
  4. Creating sections, elevations and details.

SketchUP

Level: Beginner / Intermediate

Duration: 7 hours / 14 hours

Beginner

The training sessions outcome is to create both simple and complex 3D designs and also learn how to analyse the sketches and edit them.

Upon successful completion you will be able to:

  1. Understand design best practices
  2. Create geometries in both 2D and 3D
  3. Generate and connect different forms
  4. Render your designs in 3D

Intermediate

The session objective is to show how to unlock the full potential of SketchUp, so you become a confident designer.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Handle complex 3D designs
  2. Model curves and complex geometries
  3. Optimise and organise your designs
  4. Interface with other software

CATIA V5

Level: Beginner / Intermediate

Duration: 40 hours / 8 hours

Fundamentals

You will learn how to build simple parts and assemblies and how to make simple drawings of those parts and assemblies.

Upon successful completion you will be able to:

  1. Understand and use the CATIA V5 interface
  2. Plan the construction in order to convey its visual and functional aspects
  3. Create simple parts in CATIA V5
  4. Construct an assembly using the parts

Sketcher

You will learn how to create two-dimensional sketches by drawing and constraint the various geometric elements.

Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

  1. Work in the CATIA Sketcher environment
  2. Analyse the sketched geometry
  3. Edit existing 2D profiles
  4. Manage sketches within a 3D environment

SolidWorks

Level: Beginner / Intermediate

Duration: 28 hours / 21 hours

Essentials

The outcome of this course is to teach how to use this mechanical design automation software to build parametric models.

Upon successful completion you will be able to:

  1. Use the software interface
  2. Create simple parts
  3. Construct an assembly using the parts
  4. Produce simple drawings and assembly layouts

Drawings

You will learn to use this parametric software to create parts and assemblies, and how to make 2D drawings of those parts and assemblies.

Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

  1. Create 2D sketch geometry
  2. Analyse the sketched geometry
  3. Dimension the sketch and modify it using constraints
